Living in paradise is nothing short of amazing.

Paradise just got even sparklier.

About 10 minutes up the street now lives a gorgeous new gem of a resort, Opal Sands in Clearwater Beach. We were so pleasantly surprised when we took friends here from out of town, and decided to have a few cocktails overlooking the water. We weren’t exactly sure what to expect.

Sandbar literally gives you the illusion of relaxing on a cruise ship. I’ve sailed around the globe, and now that this resort exists, I can sail any day! Waves crash beneath you as the sun warms your face and your toes are (literally) in the sand. Looking up, you’ll see that every room has glass balconies towards the Gulf. The hotel was specifically designed so that each room has a view. Now THAT is pretty incredible.

We noshed on fresh conch fritters, fish spread and unique cocktails. It’s a very welcomed addition to Clearwater Beach. Even the cocktail list is unique with elderflower liquer and fresh herbs swirled in delicious concoctions over ice.

This is going to be an incredible place to recommend to brides for weddings and honeymoons. It truly feels like you have taken to the seas (minus the seasickness)!
