My exploration of the world began the age of five. I flew across the Atlantic with my family to the South of Portugal every Summer and when the time came to cross the pond for a more substantial visit, I chose to study abroad (not once…but twice). Packing my bags, not knowing a soul, I chose to immerse myself in “la vida cotidiana” (the daily life) in the sun-drenched Southern coast of Spain in the city of Cadiz for my first study abroad experience.
Vibrant and heart-palpitating life filled streets of this magical land. My heart was on fire for the fashion, culture, people and life in Spain. As weekend warriors of international travel, we soaked in as much jewelry, fashion, culture [and sangria] as possible. This little gem on the Mediterranean Sea just miles from Morocco stamped my soul as many times as my passport.
I quickly realized that after Spain my journey needed to continue. Traveling had now become a part of my body, mind and soul. I signed up to sail around the world for 100 days while taking classes and participating in business projects around the world. Semester at Sea truly created the basis for my entrepreneurial spirit.
Collecting unique jewelry and scarves throughout my travels, I formed a collection of global treasures that transcended trend and international borders.
