Belgin Aksoy has a passion for wellness that extends well beyond borders. Her realistic approach to wellness offers suggestions that anyone, anywhere, can begin as a daily ritual. The 7 Step Manifesto includes:
• Walk one hour
• Drink more water
• Don’t use plastic bottles
• Eat organic, locally sourced produce.
• Do a good deed.
• Eat a family dinner.
• Go to bed at 10:00 PM.

• Start your day with natural light and breathing exercises.
• Make sure the colors and textures in your bedroom are soothing and calming
• Practice rituals i.e. cleansing of your skin prior to bed, bathe in minerals, and try going to bed at the same time each night
• Turn off all devices at least 1-2 hrs prior to bed
• Do not drink caffeine after 1 pm
• Utilize blue light blocking glasses
• Turn on delta and theta waves because they sync with your own brain waves. (I happen to love this one).
At the end of the day, we can choose to run ourselves into the ground and put off making a few easy changes, or take control of our minds, bodies, and spirit to live a better, more balanced life. Wellness doesn’t begin and end with a massage or facial (although I’m a huge fan of both).
