Under the Veil – The Top 5 Israeli Bridal Designers in the Land of Milk and Honey December 17, 2013 – Posted in: Blog
Detailed lace bodices and beadwork. Silhouettes that create a “barely there” yet still a remarkably traditional aesthetic. Israeli wedding dress designers are changing the game.
These are wedding dresses that seem to outshine all others in couture bridal magazines. They continuously sparkle across our social media pages and evoke questions of “Where, How, When?”
We’re talking about the most extravagantly stunning wedding dresses to date. We’re talking about the gowns that are equal parts:
“The most incredible works of art to be married in.”
+
“The most incredible works of art to be rapidly taken off that night.”
We’ve curated a list of our self-proclaimed Top 5 Israeli Wedding Dress Designers Under the Veil in the Land of Milk and Honey below.
1. BERTA
When Nir, the Director of International Sales told me that the 2014 BERTA collection was: “Going to be unlike anything else,” he was absolutely right. While backdrops of luxe estates and femme bots modeling these works of art are undoubtedly a plus, it’s clear to see why BERTA has been leading the couture wedding dress scene for over 15 years. The luxurious fabrics are imported from Paris and Milan. The finishes and every detail are undoubtedly supreme.

Her wedding gowns usher in brides from around the world to The Big Apple and beyond to see them in person. Detailed rhinestone encrusted bodices, bows that scream sweet yet sexy and sheer corsets are just a few of Pnina’s signature styles. 3. Galia Lahav
Galia Lahav’s description of The Empress Collection is on point, “angelic interpretation of an Ethereal series of gowns”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. You may recognize a few as some of the most popularly shared images on social media. These gowns offer a “come hither” whisper at each glance. When you think there isn’t enough gorgeous in the front – you see the back of these gowns and there are almost no words to do them justice.
This collection of gowns truly leaves us with our jaws on the ground. From the uber deep cut of the backs to the incredible detail in the lace and beading – Galia Lahav is a shining star out of the Middle East.

Lihi Hod is heating up the streets of Tel Aviv as well as showrooms around the world. This designer’s aesthetic reminds us of Grecian gowns combined with modern day details.
